Jura Z7 Impressa - Z7 overhaul issues..

    • Well, I just realized that my Z7 is rinsing the coffee cappuccino spout when rinsing during shutdown after you use the cappuccinatore. I was pretty sure that it used to do it when doing the cappuccino rinse, but maybe the too much coffee is messing with my brain :D .

      Currently I am messing with the grinder settings. This morning I have dismantled the grinder completely and cleaned. The burrs still look pretty ok and seem sharp.

      My brother has a Eureka Olympus grinder and we were trying to compare the grounds. I ended up setting the grinder to the lowest setting, hopefully this wont block the sieve.

      the Jura isn‘t built for a quite fine course of coffee ground.
      It won‘t work very long without making problems and the
      taste of coffee isn‘t optimal, because of the additional
      crema-valve in the brewing unit you will get an over extraction.

    • Thanks for the info. When compared to my brother ground coffee, my Jura on the finest setting was still quite coarser. For me the stones look fine , and when put against my nails , you could feel they are still sharp.

      From the photos below could you tell if they need replacing ?

      In the pictures it looks as if the millstones are still in good condition - but you can never say for sure based on pictures.

      These grinders should be adjusted to a grinding degree that roughly corresponds to the grain size of ordinary household sugar.
      If everything is OK (and the grind is correct), the brewing chamber of the brewing unit will be approximately 80-85% full when brewing two cups. The ground coffee won't just trickle out of the grinding channel (when viewed from above), but will occasionally fall down in small chunks from the end of the grinding channel during the grinding process.

    • Ahhh, got a new problem on my Z7 .
      Arrived home from work happy that I was going to have my coffee but the Jura decided otherwise .

      No coffee from all 3 coffee spouts , no milk from the frother and when I actually pressed for a cappuccino , water came out from the frother!

      I can hear the ceramic valve working and steam coming out from the centre of the machine.

      Adding to the above, no water coming out from the spout during rinsing either .

      Any tips where I should look first?

      ich würde schauen ob der Mitnehmer im Keramikventil defekt ist.
      Meist sind in solchen Fällen die Nasen des Mitnehmers abgeschert.

      Bitte selber Googleübersetzer nehmen. Mir fehlt gerade die Zeit.

    • Hallo, entschuldigen Sie die fehlende Übersetzung ins Deutsche. Mein Browser übernimmt dies automatisch, und manchmal vergesse ich, dass das Forum auf Deutsch ist.

      Vielen Dank nochmal für Ihre Hilfe. Gestern Abend habe ich die Maschine erneut getestet, und sie funktionierte einwandfrei. Heute habe ich sie erneut getestet, und es scheint alles in Ordnung zu sein.

      Könnte es sein, dass das Keramikventil vorübergehend blockiert ist? Könnte es etwas mit dem Ausgangsventil zu tun haben?

    • Hallo,

      es ist höchst unwahrscheinlich, dass das KV blockiert. Eher kann es so sein, dass die Mitnehmernasen nicht beide komplett weg sind, und es so manchmal geht oder auch nicht. Wenn es daran liegt, wird aber über kurz oder lang der Fehler dauerhaft vorliegen.

      ich würde mir einen solchen Mitnehmer besorgen: komtra.de/reparatur-wartungsse…kaffeevollautomaten1.html
      Hier im Shop ist er vergriffen und kommt wohl auch nicht mehr, aber auf Ebay oder bei manchen anderen Ersatzteilhändlern kann man die erhalten. Besser ist ein gebrauchter intakter, da die auch häufig angebotenen neuen 3D-Drucke nicht immer optimal in Form und Material sind.
