      Would be the best way to verify if the discs are actually moving?
      I tried for a week every day step by step but don't see any difference, grinder 2 is fine and working.
      would be the best way to verify if the discs are moving? Does it give any feedback to the controller if it actually moved?

    • Hello,

      since these types of synchronous motors only have four cables, I assume that no position detection is taking place – nor is any additional switch activated within the adjustment range.

      To determine if the adjustment is working, observe whether the black control cam has moved further to the left or right after the electronical adjustment and AFTER THE NEXT coffee brew. I seem to remember that the adjustment only takes effect immediately before the next coffee is drawn. It may be enough to remove the bean container to be able to see this.

      Can I assume that if both grinders are set to the same setting those black markers should be on both in the same place?
      Also considering swapping the left and right grinder controls connector on the main board to test it, good or bad idea? :)

    • Yes I think so. Both should be similar if the zero-position was set correctly in the past.

      Swapping should show where the problem is. Grinder/cable or electronic.
