      CM5300 stucked in degrease brew unit program with "empty drip tray" error.
      I entered the service menu, no error is shown. Unfortunately I can't find either service manual or drawings for this machine.
      I took it apart, all 5 microswitches I found were tested and worked fine.
      Can anyone guide me where can I find the drip tray sensor / microswitch?
      According to other tabletop machines, the drive motor should start before the heating, but nothing happens. I tried to remove the drip tray for half minutes and put it back, but it didn't help.

      "Alle Ersatzteile" and than type in "CM 5300".
      You have to show much more initiative when people
      give you tips.


      If the machine recognizes putting out and in of the tray,
      And still shows incorrect behavior, it might be a control
      board defect. In this case it shurely wouldn´t help to change
      a switch or a motor.
      But I don't know anything more than just pictures from the
      CM5300, so there could also be hidden causes that I don't
      suspect - even the switch or motor.

    • Maybe it helps to go into the service menu, and do a factory reset. That has helped me in the past several times when I had a Miele coffee machine with strange issues.

      "Machine has to be in standby. Touch and hold the Symbol Button with the three horizontal bars. Touch on/Off Symbol one time. Let Go of the first button. Touch first Button three Times and hold on third until Display Shows 'service' or similar (depending on language)."

      Don't know if it works, but it's worth a try.

      the Factory Reset is explained in the "normal" user operating
      instructions under "Settings".

      Maybe a little more detailed how to delete the error memory
      because in the service menu there is no "Factory Reset".

      Requirements
      The device is switched off (Stand-By)

      Started
      All following steps must be completed WITHIN 2 seconds
      Touch the sensor field (3 bars) and keep it touched
      Touch the sensor field (device ON) once
      Release the sensor field (3 bars).
      Touch the sensor field (3 bars) 3 times and hold it touched the 3rd time until “Service mode” appears

      Options
      Touch the sensor field (arrow up) or (arrow down) until “Error memory” is highlighted
      Touch the sensor field (OK).

      Delete
      Touch the sensor field (arrow up) or (arrow down) until “Delete” is highlighted
      Touch the sensor field (OK).
      ->All errors are deleted

      Finish
      Touch the sensor field (device ON).
      ->The device is switched off.

      Thanks for your help, I owe you some beer.
      Although the method you wrote doesn't work unfortunately I had some time to investigate the service menus for all Miele machine.
      In the end, hold 3 line symbol, touch on and release 3 line than touch it 4 times gives you another service mode with all function reset. I still don't understand why 2 different modes are needed for the service mode but it is not the first brand with unlogic things :D

      That's seems to be very similar to what I posted.
      Is the sequence you used different?
      Is the difference that 'my' instructions say "touch it 3 times and hold" and yours say "touch it 4 times"?
      Do you really enter another service menu then? That would be a bit awkward...
