Jura Z8 - Front spout mounting question

    • Jura Z8 - Front spout mounting question

      Hersteller: Jura | Typ-/Modell: Z8 | ca. Baujahr: 2020

Finally got hands on Z8 and I can't find any detailed drawing or video about the spout mounting.
      Part:
      komtra.de/jura-spare parts/jura-spare parts/coffee outlet-jura-z8-coffee-automats1.html

Facing the front, on the left hand side you see pin sticking out.
Can somebody tell me where/how it's mounted? I don't have the "balls" to open it without a drawing :/
The one I got clearly doesn't work right.

      thanks

    • Hello,

I have taken no photos when I disassembled a year ago two
of my three Z6 (nearly indentical in by this parts) to refurbish
      them.

I mean to remeber, that the whole machine-front must be
removed from the machine to get to the "guide-rail", because
      its bolted from behind.

The only photo I habe taken is also to see at the Pimp-up-Z6
      Thread:

I also don´t know a PDF or video instruction to remove the front.
I only remeber, that at least one screw (or more) is hidden behind
the front panels, so that this first has to be dismounted.
By the Z8 I think the penals are screwed on with nuts.

      You also got a mail!

    • Yes, it slides directly in the plasic.
If its is not lead shure, perhaps the
plasic part is defective, not mounted
correct or something with the pin…

    • With everyone out of the house for holidays I opened it up again,
the hint how to remove the plastic panel behind the spout did the trick and there was screw hidden behind it.

Now, my fears are confirmed, there is broken piece of plastic that is nowhere to be found.
Any ideas on how to proceed fixing it?
I presume it is virtually impossible to get the part it self for reasonable cost.

Also the spout is not holding it's position well, it likes to drop, is there tension adjustment on it somewhere?
      Thanks!

    • It should work if moving with care and not too impetuous.

You gave me a good hint in this case - I looked just on
ebay and could find a complete Z6 coffee spout with only
a broken outlet nozzle for 29€ - now its mine... :D
Z6 spout is compatible to Z8, but not the opposite without
disassembling and rebuilding with an other "green-hose"!
And I have three Z6 in my collection. Who knows what
      I might need it for...

If it doesn´t work for long, you could try to remove the broken
parts of the braket, drill a hole at the right position (arrow) and
insert a flat headed screw of the correct length and diameter
(with a washer) from behind and fix it from the front with 2 or 3
(not too big) locknuts instead of the plastic. But you should
grease sufficiently because the metric screw is not as smooth
as the pin and could chafe the guide bar.

There is enough space left inside for this "operation". See photo...
