Zitat von Moreteen: „carstenpanch in this thread it`s a milk frother problem. This is my suggestion in your threatn about your Milk frother problem: "To solve your milk frother problem I recomment to order aside of the items suggested by sb_Nue this as well." But if you get a "great cappucino" as you mentioned after discaling your mashine then this will not help much. “ I know - but I'm still not sure since I haven't been testing that long. So all the possible solutions to this general 'milk fro…

Thank you very much!

Zitat von sb_NUE: „But you maybe want to order a full set instead. Even if you don't need all parts now, you still have some spares. Just in case. “ Thanks Would you mind linking to that set as well? I'm having trouble finding the correct parts for the 839, since for the Brüheinheit there are not these parts...

Zitat von sb_NUE: „Check the lip seal of the upper brewing piston. If it has cracks or is very hard, replace it. “ Thanks, I'll look at it - if it's bad, is there a replacement part here at komtra? Cannot seem to find it. Is the issue related to the thread your linking to?

Zitat von Moreteen: „To solve your milk frother problem I recomment to order aside of the items suggested by sb_Nue this as well. “ Is this because you still suspect there could be a crack in the part you link to? The fact that I'm currently are able to brew great cappucinos makes me wonder if it was 'only' a descaling that was needed. But I will continue to monitor. Zitat von sb_NUE: „A few drops of water are quite common during the flush cycle but this seems to be a bit too much to me. Check t…

While the milk frother problem is being looked at, maybe you can tell me if this amount of water in the used coffe beans container is intended? youtu.be/l9GBc6FHqVo It comes when the system starts and shuts down - the 'system rinse' procedure. Could there be a leak? I see others asking the same in some of the other threads.
-
This morning as well, it made a perfect Cappucino. Could it really be the descaling that did it? I dare not to hope, so I will test it further over the next days. Actually this type of acid, I'm having a hard time finding, other than online. But I will look for it.

Amidosulfonic? Never heard of it, but google revealed that it is often used for coffee machines Can you get it in the shop? Tonight I tried 4 times again - and it succeeded every time. Tomorrow I will try some more times, stressing it a bit. I don't dare to believe that it has solved itself. I will report back.

Interested in your problem as I seem to have the same one, with a Nivona 839 model. Nivona CafeRomatica NICR 839 - no milk frother, only steam Cannot really suggest anything right now since I’m also in the debugging phase.
-
Ahh you mean the black plastic nozzle behind the frame? I would really like to avoid taking my 831 apart again Yeah, maybe something weird happens when the nozzle gets warm. I will try again a bit later. I only descaled once - would you recommend multiple times? I'm using Rinza descaler. Could you use ordinary citric acid in a strong concentration, or would you recommend something else?
-
If there was a problem with the rubber steam nozzle, then I would assume that it would never work. But as in the case with the 831, I can actually make it work. This time it worked 4-5 times in a row. Video of a working milk cycle: media]youtu.be/0THFd-Fu0AE[/media] After the 5th time it stopped working and began sputtering again. It seems that if it doesn't get a strong enough flow of milk in the beginning, then it doesn't complete ssuccesfully. Since there is a physical difference of the two n…

So you mean the hose that goes into the milk? I must agree, the two videos looks very much alike. I can try the hose from the 831, other than that I would need to order a new rubber nozzle. It just doesn’t look damaged at all.
-
So I tried descaling, and running a milk cleaning program. This didn’t solve the issue. As suggested I also tried taking the nozzle from my 831 model. Unfortunately it did not fit. Only the plastic spout, so tried switching those, but didn’t yield better results. I made a video of the steam output and compared it to the working steam output from the 831. The Nivona 839: youtu.be/idOSgP01OCw The Nivona 831: youtu.be/vJrIs1VUVAs The 839 looks rather uneven in the steam (20ml milk, 80ml frother) so…

Zitat von sb_NUE: „Before disassembling anything, I would descale the machine multiple times with a proper descaler. If the milk system is still not working, then try the milk nozzle from your 831. Not sure if it really fits as the part numbers are different but it's worth a try. If it's still not working, take a video with the nozzle removed. Maybe we can see if the amount of steam is sufficient or not. “ I'll try that when I come home. Looks like it could fit. Thanks for the suggestion.

Zitat von BlackSheep: „Perhaps sb_NUE knows something. He is familiar with the new Nivonas and great in English. BS “ Anyone understanding my English, is very welcome to answer in German if it fits them better, I'll just do the translation

No inputs from anyone?

Extending the spring in the AV did not solve the problem, unfortunately. Video of the result here - without cover: youtu.be/rFfAXY3kKYQ

Ok, so I think I manage to solve it. Input arrow from heater, output hose to drainage valve and the other hose is the hot water to the ceramic valve. Is it normal that the AV is connected directly to the heater and not with a hose in between?
-
Ok, first problem: I forgot how the AV was assembled in the machine Can anyone help? There are two arrows, in and out - I guess the IN arrow must be attached to the heater and according to the hoses the most likely placement is with the valve to the left? Actually it was not mounted with any screws. Is that normal?
