Found more differences with the North american model. There is no option to change the shortcut buttons, so you are stuck with whatever is there and you can't replace with different product instead or reorganise those existing

Jura Giga X3c Professional - Coffee spout not holding position, rail guide is not stiff enough
BeitragWorking great now, I had to add lots of tension, felt strange, so I also degreased the band and rollers with 99% IPA. I was actually able to release some of the tension after that.

BeitragPerfect! Thank you so much! I noticed it there but it felt way too far to be the adjustment knob for that

Jura Giga X3c Professional - Coffee spout not holding position, rail guide is not stiff enough
BeitragHersteller: Jura | Typ-/Modell: Giga X3c Professional | ca. Baujahr: 2016 I just got Giga X3c and after cleaning ( no lubrication of any kind) the coffee spout will not hold in place, it will slowly lower it itself all the way down. Looks like the front black band is the tensioner, (and covers the cavity) but I don't see any adjustable part anywhere. Hot water side is perfect. Any idea how to adjust it? Thanks, it will be fun, some sweet substance made it all the way down and dried out, clogging many of the vent/drainage holes.

Did you guys try to reveal the bottom from the Giga 5? Is this fairly easy or does this call for major disassembly? I like to clean it out since the previous owner was user only and did not give a F about cleaning. I found 4 screws on the water tank side and one under the ceramic valve, but it is still holding on. There must be more hidden somewhere or some clips. Any other tips? Admin: No pictures with unauthorized third parties - not even in excerpts Thanks

Thank you!

One more question, do these have same power saving "wear" problems as the Z5 had? Do you use the power saving 1 or 2 options? Thanks
-
AHA! That makes sense! Thank you!

Unfortunately I will have to swap the ceramic valve head, started to drip after about 30 minutes of testing komtra.de/forum/index.php/Attachment/19374/

Hersteller: Jura | Typ-/Modell: Giga 5 | ca. Baujahr: Unbekannt Hi folks, I just acquired Giga 5 and comparing the internals to Giga X8c (3 pumps) there is only one pump inside the Giga 5. While browsing for parts here on Komtra there is 2 pumps listed for the Giga 5 (smaller 28W I presume steam and the large pump) I'm confused, is there 2 versions of the Giga 5? Thanks komtra.de/forum/index.php/Attachment/19372/ One more side question, all the brewing unit orings are clear silicone except the u…

Yes, to my surprise it improved a lot.

I have x3c incoming (with random not powering on problem) so I will check on it, but on my x8c there is pressure limiter built in on the water input just before the solenoide.

Ha! looks like I made progress Removed the "finger guard" and looks like the dose is way bigger now. Also moved one step to finer grind.
-
It seems to be rather coarse and Zitat von BlackSheep: „much to less. for a 2-cup shot. If the grinder makes about or more than 450 rpm, it seems you need new grinding stones. “ Hm, I don't know, but they don't look worn or damaged to me. The usage is also negligible (just over 2300 shots) Will check the grinder speed but it doesn't sound any different than others I heard before.
-
Reassembled, pulled 4 shots to fill the grinder. Cleaned the container and this is the amount of ground I got making coffee, medium grinder setting. (yes, about 9s grinder time ) Looks better but wouldn't mid to have it stronger.
-
If the grinder is polarity reversed, there Zitat von BlackSheep: „is almost no ground material. Is it a 110V grinder and not 230V? “ Good to know, yes, it's the correct 110V grinder. Very strange
-
Just a thought (perhaps silly) if the grinder would spin the wrong way would it grind at all? Wires are connected correctly (polarity on the motor itself) and can't be reversed on the control board.

The grinder has to mill for 9.3 seconds by 2-cup-select. Zitat von BlackSheep: „And the brewing chamber has to be filled for min. 4/5 with coffee powder degree of grinding like “normal” sugar. 5 to 6 mm are much too less, what's the reason for it? “ Yes, 9s is correct, not sure what is causing the problem. The unit was in storage for many years, that's why the low usage. I don't see any damage. Those springs are about 14mm long. Here is puck sample, it slightly expanded while sitting, setting wa…
