No more filling the machine by hand, all automatic Zitat von JoenneJuraSchraubaer: „Zitat von Lifeisfun : „ “ Could you please describe that in a bit more detail? That sounds interesting. “ Sure, the circuit board you see in the middle of the picture is the controller ( I did design simpler version with way less parts that I'm using now as well, only NE555 couple resistors, capacitors and single miniature relay ) There is upper and…

Probably water damage. Just get motor and gearbox from eBay and be done with it. While at it I would also check the driving wheel inside the ceramic calve assembly. Those 2 driving pins love to strip.

Just to update, package with parts from Joenne received - THANK YOU! Machine is working again. I hope this was just unfortunate fluke and it will not come back . While waiting for the sensor I did some modifications to prevent accidental water dripping (if it happens) on electrical parts below the boiler, and installed automatic water filler. That was fun No more filling the machine by hand, all automatic komtra.de/forum/index.php/Attachment/17889/

Zitat von JoenneJuraSchraubaer: „I am pleased that the parts were installed successfully and that it is also relatively economical. “ These machines sell here for C$2400 new and you will not find used one (in OK shape) for under C$1100 Sucking down my second cappuccino right now, thanks to you Joenne!

Just to tide up here So, parts received, (Thank you Joenne!) swapped the cracked elbow, now working as a Swiss watch again, no more leaking. Shame on Jura, clearly common problem, same as BMW cars they need to do waaay better in the plastic department. Nothing wrong with plastic but must be stable and well made. Display bezel cleaned up and except one small hairline crack all good again. Total E8TFT cost incl. import C$420. Very reasonable compared to those ridiculous prices here.

Interesting, the electromagnet could be just weak. Looking forward to your updates on this issue!

Zitat von BlackSheep: „Zitat von Lifeisfun: „No, it does not heat up with main power switch on. (sensor removed) “ Than wait for the new sensor and look what happens...And be careful when laying the cable - it must not touch the heater at any point. “ thanks I'll probably slide over some silicone tubing before soldering the wire on the connector.

The shrink tubing was stuck to it from what I remember already when I did the other repairs on it weeks ago. It was not melted, more like deteriorated and it turned to powder rubbing on it. To be honest not sure what caused the failure, perhaps it got shorted to ground? Don't see any obvious damage on the board. I presume the controlling Triac is the one mounted on the black aluminum cooling profile? Any tests I can do without the new sensor? thanks

I will just add on this thread since I got same problem this morning, so no reason open new one. After fixing ceramic valve leak, then bursted boiler hose couple weeks ago, Error 4 is here  The yellow shrinkwrap that was protecting the connection on the thermistor is all deteriorated and stuck to the boiler. Both boilers were warm when I took it apart. I guess next will be to test the sensor once it cools down as discussed previously. Do you see anything I don't see? thanks komtra.de/fo…

BeitragRemove beans There are 3 plugs in the bean hopper that hide screws. Take them out Notice the position of the grinder rotary button so you can set it in the same place on reassembly. Lift the back of the lid This will expose screws on the left panel. There is also one screw at the front left bottom hidden by the drip tray (near the milk hose compartment)

I just posted a couple of days ago the same thing, the elbow is cracked on the bottom. Hairline crack that you can't see with naked eye. Just do suction test on it with your mouth it will not hold for long time if at all. Looks like Jura sourced poorly made part komtra.de/siemens-ersatzteile/…itta-miele-bosch-siemens- coffee-automats.html
