      I seen some discussion about these electronically controlled grinders before but somehow can't find it anymore.
      What is the life expectancy of the burr set on these grinders?
      I know that BS suggests avoiding taking these a part unless absolutely necessary but I would love to try changing the ceramic discs (burr set)
      in one of them. Did anyone attempt this? Where did you find the proper set?

      There are no definable replacement times based on the number of coffees, as the hardness of the beans also determines wear.
      I've had steel burrs that became blunt after 10,000 coffees, and I just had one in a Z6 that's still in tip-top condition after 32,000 coffees.
      It will be no different with ceramic burrs.
      With my GIGA X3, the the measurable ground coffee quantity dropped from 16g to 12.8g (80% performance) after 130,000 coffees. I've also heard something about 50,000 coffees - but there's nothing written down.

      These are not available for purchase anywhere - at least I have not been able to find anything suitable so far.
