I did some further work on the J5 replaced the seals and O-rings in the drainage valve. At first this fixed the problem - the rinse was normal and I made 5 or 6 espressos that were good. Then, "bang", the hose from the Heater/Erhitzer to the Outlet valve/Auslaufventil burst at the Outlet valve/ connection. Maybe the hose was damaged from being moved too many times during the maintenance? I changed the hose with a new piece, but after that I was back to the same problem. The machine makes the nor…

Yes I have this in the J5: komtra.de/jura-ersatzteile/jur…agnet-drainageventil.html So you are suggesting that the drainage valve is sticking open, or not fully closing? The rod that pushes the valve appears to be straight and undamaged. The white part of the drainage valve is also smooth and undamaged, I also fitted a new drainage valve solenoid/Magent as part of the job, so maybe I have connected something wrongly. Could this be an electrical problem - not fully actuating the drainage valve? T…

I have a very similar problem, with an Impressa J5, grounds are dry and water is going directly into the waste tray instead of the brew group. I have replaced the outlet valve / Auslaufventil with a new one. I also tested it with the outlet valve disconnected from the brew group, and there is a flow of water from the outlet valve. I did remove the brew group and the drainage valve seems to be moving freely and not blocked. What can the problem be? Sorry to write in English, but my German is…

Hi, I did replace the solenoid and that appeared to cure the problem with the clicking. I also replaced the brurst hose. After reassembling all I tried to make an espresso and there is only a little water flowing into the brewer. The first time the coffee was dry, and the second time only a small amount of fluid came out. Is there a common problem after reassembling with new hoses and changing the Auslaufventil? Perhaps fthere is a blockage somewhere or some particles in the fluid system? Thanks…

Thanks and I'll get out the multimeter and do some electrical checks. I did order a new solenoid, but after posting the above message, I had another problem. I recently changed the outlet valve which had a hairline crack (link below). I made about 10 expressos OK, but i could hear that the brew unit was straining, and the coffeee grounds are very wet, as well as the clicking and humming from the drainage valve solenoid. http://kaffeemaschinen-forum.de/index .php/Thread/6513-Jura-J5-Auslaufventil…

Hersteller: Jura | Typ-/Modell: Impressa J5 | ca. Baujahr: Unbekannt Hi Excuse me posting here in English, but my German is not good, and this seems to be a very good forum for Jura technical topics. Please reply in German - I can use Google translate to help me! In my J5 there is recently a click noise coming from the drainage solenoid valve (Drainageventilmagnet). The click noise happens about every 15 to 20 minutes all the time that the machine has power on, even if the display is off and it …

Thanks, BS. I did not see any problem with the tubes, and they seemed to slide onto the Auslaufventil quite easily. So is there some special tip for fitting the tubes? - I have a meter of silicon tube so can easily cut a new piece and try again. Or is it good to try some silicon grease or silicone sealant to make a good joint? Andy

Please reply in German - I can use Google translate to help me! I have a problem with a leak from the outlet valve/Auslaufventil - see the picture. The coffee maker still works, but there is always water under the machine after each coffee. I have already fitted a new silicon tubing and new hose cla…
