Changed the drain valve and machine working perfectly once again! Changed the rubber axle too and now brewing unit can be removed easily. Thanks a lot for your help. I am a happy man once again :).

OK thanks. So I'll have to wait for the parts to arrive then. A few days without coffee. I hope I can survive :). I'll let you know of the outcome once the parts arrive. Thanks.

I managed to remove the drain valve without opening the machine. You need to split the removal into 5 parts. 1. First you remove the spring 2. Pull out the bottom part without the actual metal valve 3. Remove the metal plunger of the valve 4. Press the main body of the valve (the inverted Y section) downwards to release it from the bracket 5. Remove the actual valve housing. I cleaned everything and I cannot understand what's wrong with the drain valve. Everything seems fine. I reassembled every…

Do you know of any video that can help me in replacing the drain valve please? Thanks.
-
I thought so! As the other functions like hot water and milk frothing are working properly. I will take your advice then. I guess to replace the drain valve I need to take machine apart right? Would you be able to pull it out from near the brewing unit when you remove those 6 screws that cover it by any chance? Thanks again for your help.

I spoke to a local agent about my problem and he told me most probably it is the ceramic valve that needs cleaning. Does this make any sense? Is it worth trying to do it before ordering the parts? Thanks.

Thanks. Already tried it. When I put it back and try pulling it out just after it's fine but when I try a day or two later it's really hard. It will take me at least 5 min of pulling and prising. If I pull really hard I'll end up breaking the lever with the red button. I already pulled the lever out from the guide way a couple of times in fact.

Thanks will do so. What about the brewing unit being very difficult to pull out please?

Which one do you recommend to start with? Shall I investigate and repair the inlet fitting first? This one is the L shaped fitting, the one that moves within the brewing unit right? Thanks. Andre

Hersteller: Melitta | Typ-/Modell: Varianza CSP F57/0-101 Caffeo | ca. Baujahr: 2017 Hi. I am having problems with my coffee maker. Lately the brewing unit is really hard to pull out. A few weeks ago I noticed that coffee amount was less than selected. I bought Komtrade maintenance kif M. I managed to pull the brewing unit out after a lot of prising and performed maintenance by changing the 2 o-rings for the input and output and the seal for the coffee piston. I reassembled everything and I thou…

That was it. I didn't notice there was a hole in it. It's so tiny! Thanks a lot for your help. I owe you a coffee .

Does not seem clogged to me.

Hi, I managed to open it without breaking anything! Is the valve the one in the picture please?

Thanks for your reply. I read through the notes and saw the pics and I'm a bit reluctant to open up the machine. Would you think there is anything else I can try before? I already descaled the machine twice before writing in this forum. I was thinking to put some descaling liquid in the milk jug and try to do the milk cleaning procedure . Do you think I can damage anything? I guess it's quite safe as when you do descaling it descales the frothing system too. The method I am thinking will "descal…

Thanks for your reply sb_NUE, I tried what you suggested and I confirm that no steam or water is escaping into the drip tray. I did a video but I can't find a way to upload it.

Hersteller: Melitta | Typ-/Modell: Caffeo Varianza F 57/0 - 101 | ca. Baujahr: 2018 Hi, my two year old Melitta Caffeo Varianza CSP lately is not frothing the milk enough. Milk is still the same that was used before so definitely not the case. I did descaling process twice. Milk comes up through the pipe normally. Tried Frothing without the spout and steam comes out quite powerful though I never tried this without spout before so I cannot really compare. Can someone please help me out with this …
